Belfast

You can go to Belfast, because there are many interesting things.

Titanic House is one of them. A lot of tourist go there because it’s called „the home of Titanic“. There are a lot of events there and you can even marry someone you like at Titanic House.

Then, there’s the Queen’s University of Belfast. You can study there, if you want to, and it’s beautiful too. Of course, there are a lot of international students, so you don’t need to worry that you’re the only one. There are many interesting classes, so we think there’s something for you, too.

The wonderful Linenhall libary is located in Dongegall square. The libary was built in 1788 and has all publications that have ever appeared in Northern Ireland, including just over 80 000 media about the Northern Ireland conflict!
The most famous pub in North Ireland (Belfast) is the Crown Liquor Saloon. It has a wonderful facade and decor from 1855. Even if you only walk along a road you can find many interesting things like shops, attractions and other things.

Belfast is a very beautiful city and has many attractions. When you’re lost you can ask people to help you to find the way. Of course, there are other good cities, but we think Belfast is a good travel destination and you should go there if you want to.

Brighton: the best sights

Brighton is a city on the south coast of England. It is in the county of East Sussex. In 2000, it joined Hove to become the city of Brighton & Hove. It was first called „Brighthelmstone“.

It was well known for being a bathing resort in the 18th century and was popular among tourists from London. Queen Victoria was said to have bathed there once. One of its most famous landmarks is the Royal Pavilion.

It’s most famous sights are: The Royal Pavilion, North Laine, the Lanes, Brighton Pier, Brighton Museum & Art Gallery

We like the beaches and the Brighton Pier, because the view is beautiful. The Royal Pavilion is one of the most famous sights in Brighton. You can go to Brighton Museum & Art Gallery and it takes you into the past.

Here you can see pictures of Brighton:

London

London is the capital city of the United Kingdom. There are many interesting sights and one of them is the British museum.

The world famous British museum shows old architecture from prehistoric to modern times. Highlights are the Rosetta stone, the Pathenon sculptures and the mummies in the Ancient Egypt collection.

The second interesting sight is the London Eye. The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the south bank of the River Thames in London. It opened on 9. March 2000. It’s 135 metres high. It has 32 cabins, each weighing 10 tonnes and holding up to 25 people for a 30 minutes tour.

The last interesting sight is the Tower of London. The Tower of London stands on the banks of the River Thames, in the oldest part of the city. It’s one of London’s main tourist attractions. Visitors can see many exhibitions in the Tower.

If you want to have a nice day, you can travel to London because there are many interesting tourist attractions.

Looe

Hello,

We´re Amelie and Hannah. We went to Looe for two days. Here is some basic information:

In Looe, there live 5280 people. It is a small coastal town in the south east of Cornwall in the UK. There is East and West Looe. Between them is the River Looe, which flows into the England Channel. The town is 20 miles (32km) away from Plymouth, and 7 miles (11km) from Liskeard. Looe is located around a small harbour. On the one side, there is a steep-sided valley and on the other side there is a sandy beach. There is a bridge from East Looe to West Looe.

On the first day we went to Looe Island :

Here are some historical facts:

Babs and Evelyn Atkins were sisters and bought the island in 1965. It was their dream. Evelyn died in 1997 aged 87. She wrote two books about her life on Looe Island. Babs is 83 years old and still lives on the island. She announced that she is going to leave the island to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust.

Our day started with a boat trip along the coast, around Looe Island and ended at the little harbour of the Island. It was a warm and sunny day. There were no roads, shops or traffic. We went on one of the beautiful walks. After one hour of walking in the heat we wanted to swim. There were two beaches for safe bathing and a natural rock swimming pool. We decided to swim in the pool because until that time, natural rock swimming pools were unknown for us. It was a great experience and we recommend it to everybody. On the way home after the refreshment we saw beautiful rocky coves and caves. I like to say that we could have gone fishing there, too, but we were very tired. In the evening we bought fish and chips for both of us and ate it sitting on the beach wall.

On the second day we visited West Looe beach:

The beach was very nice and the water lukewarm. There were lots of people, who swam a lot and played ball. After that we were hungry and ate fish and chips. Then we saw a hiking way. It was the Costal Path, which leads around England’s coast. Later we went to the beach again and reached the famous Banjo Pier. The Banjo Pier is a natural and popular point for walking around Looe harbour, especially to see the returning fishermen at high tide. We liked Banjo Pier very much. After that we went to a restaurant, had our dinner and watched the sundown. It was our last day in Looe. This holiday was one the best of our life.

Windsor, the royal city in Great Britain

Windsor is the royal city near London, the river Thames and other sights. Windsor castle is royal and the oldest place in Windsor. It is very important for the local people, because there are over five hundred people who work in the castle.

The LEGOLAND in Windsor is great for young families, too. You can go there with your family for a day or a weekend. Tickets for adults are £48 for a day and for children, they are £43.80. It isn’t cheap, but it is worth the money.

If this is too wild for you, Windsor Castle Park is great to take a walk. The long walk to the castle monument with its 3.7 kilometres is great for a little family walk. Especially a walk at sundown is very romantic for couples.
